Real quick post before I head out for a few hours tonight.
Check out what I’ve been given a link to! The Relationship Moms Blog
For all us Moms who need to talk/read about things that are more personal in our relationship with hubby/significant other.
These ladies have finally nailed it. They gave us a place that we can talk about things that we wouldn’t talk to just anyone about.
Don’t be shy pop on over and see what I’m talking about. Be forwarned this is not your grandmother’s blog!
Ok, so we had an early dinner tonight and it was actually quite nice because I now have the whole evening to do whatever I want. Well, after baths and bedtime that is! I feel so much better knowing that I won’t have to rush around to get dinner, dishes, bathtimes, and work done tonight. By the time I sit down to work I’m exhausted with a capital E, but not tonight.
For dinner I made Sloppy Joes. The really fattening, really greasy kind! Yummmy! I know all my healthy friends are gonna scream when they read this post, but hey a girl’s got to indulge every now and again right? LOL Well Zach doesn’t like Sloppy Joe’s and I just don’t get it…he’s almost 9 for goodness sake! What kid doesn’t like Sloppy Joes? I thought they every kid liked them because they were so messy and oh so good tasting. Leave it to my child not to like them, hu! I think part of it has to do with the taste, but (he won’t admit this part)I think the majority of it is because it’s sooooo messy! Then again, maybe not because I eat mine with a fork and I’ve offered the same to him, but still no luck. Watching Zach eat his peanut butter and jelly while I devoured my Sloppy Joe got me thinking about the things that the males in my household don’t like to eat.
Jerry & Zach neither one like soup beans (ham/navy beans for those of you in the south). Jerry really doesn’t like any kind of bean, which means that chili is yet another thing that he refuses to eat. He doesn’t like steak either!! Oh come on, I thought every man in the universe liked steak, why do I love the one out of billions that doesn’t? (Actually those reasons could fill up another 10 posts) I tell you I’m beginning to wonder if the two of them are unamerican! LOL
I’m such a meat and potatoes girl that it’s sickening. Guess that’s what happens when you are raised in the midwest and then come to the southeast hu? After all, I won’t eat their seafood either.
I am glad that so far Hunter isn’t that picky. That child will eat ANYTHING. From Saurkraut to crab legs!
How do you deal with picky eaters in your house without breaking the grocery budget? Leave me a comment and help this mama stay sane while still enjoying the great American fattening foods!
Working at home again! This time is soooo different though.
Long story short…I quit my job outside of the home due to the fact that the person who hired me took office gossip to a whole new level. Insulting my hubby & his family is NOT even close to cool in my book! Morals will outweight money any day with this one!
My first day home I got a job offer for a court researcher position. The job was definitely something I would love to do, but unfortunately the pay did not constitute using our one vehicle that is barely still running for the work. I needed a job, but it didn’t provide enough work to make it a good business decision, so I had to decline.
On that same day I received 2 virtual assistant projects! YAYYYY!
One was for an article and the other was to create emails for a mailing list of a well known internet marketer. Then, yesterday morning I paid a visit to a forum that I frequent and had a PM (private message) requesting my services for yet another project.
Add it up folks…that’s 3 clients in less than a week! Do you have any idea how exciting this news is…really, do you?
All of these combined do not replace the money I was making, but I know that time is coming and soon…I can feel it! You know what i have to say about it: BRING IT ON! I LOVE IT. There are no amount of exclamation points or smilies in the world that can show you just how happy I am right now.
