My Favorite Pic of Hunter

I really need to either take the date stamp off of my digital or remember to set the date/time every time we change batteries! ;) Anyhow, to the point of this post. Actually, there isn’t a point to it other than to show off my little man. I took this picture and loved loved loved the way it turned out and just had to share!

This picture, taken just a few weeks ago, is a true look at what I look like most days! Ok, I lied, this is one of the better days. As you can see I actually managed to get OUT of my pajamas that day! Babies always have a way of making you look bad in pictures, cause they are just so darn cute. But me looking bad has nothing to do with the fact that my nephew Sean and my youngest son Hunter are sitting in my lap and overshadowing me.

I look HORRID! Bags under my eyes, my face is broke out, my hair is just thrown up. I can’t even use the “I just had a baby” excuse anymore. (He’s 13 1/2 months old now)

Hot Mama?? ROFLMAO Now do you see why I laugh at my hubby when he says I’m sexy? I think NOT!

Any of you that are Moms, I’m sure you can relate. You know how it goes. Baby didn’t sleep through the night, dishes need done, hubby is hungry and begging for attention, your older child has homework he needs help with, the house needs cleaned, laundry piles are taking over and not just the laundry room. The list goes on and on. You’ve had days where you don’t get a shower until 4 in the afternoon, if at all. Don’t deny it! We’ve all been there. ;)

Personally, I’ve had enough of the I’m a Mom so it’s ok that I look like I’ve been hit by a freight train days. I’ve made a vow to myself and my family that I will start making more of an effort to make myself look and as a consequence feel better, each and every day. After all, if you feel better about yourself your family will definitely feel better too. A happy Mama means a happy family.

Think about it. If your hubby is like mine, he tells you that you’re beautiful each and every day, no matter how horrid you look. I’ve gotten to the point I either laugh at him or tell him he doesn’t have to lie to make friends or just to get what he wants! LOL

We all know that our children pick up on our moods. When you’re happy they tend to be happy too, but the minute you get stressed it’s not just coincidence that they start getting cranky too. They don’t like an upset Mama anymore than we like being unhappy.

There are so many things that you can do to give yourself a much needed and very much deserved boost in confidence. For instance I did this a few weeks ago.

The boost in confidence it gave me just to go get my nails done was wonderful. Even if you don’t do nails, there are still things you can do to help boost your confidence and start feeling like the Hot Mama that you are!

Try spraying a tiny bit of your favorite perfume on each day or take a nice long bubble bath with candles. Anything that makes you feel better about yourself and bumps that confidence up a notch or two.

Help Krisite’s Kiddos Get Their Playroom Back…

and help a mom who wants to spend more time with her kiddos by working at home too! She’s pleading for goodness sakes! LOL

Kristie has thousands of copies of her paperback book: “I Love My Life” stashed in those boxes behind her in her basement. Her kids want their playroom back and Kristie has nowhere else to put them so she needs to get rid of them.

Yep, it’s an actual book not an eBook that you download and have to print out or read at your computer. Thank goodnes. It’s crammed full of so much stuff that if I had to read it online, I’d be blind from eye strain because I couldn’t put it down!

I bought this book a few months ago and to be honest, I haven’t finished it yet, but I’ve read quite a bit and it’s enough to know that it’s so worth the price ($14.95, but read further for a SWEET deal) and the time spent reading.

I use it as a resource more than anything. For instance, a few weeks ago, I needed a some extra places to submit a press release to for one of my clients, and I grabbed Kristie’s book and found them in a matter of seconds.

I’ve also been known to look up information for funding options in this book. It’s there!

She’s got an awesome offer going on right now where you get each book for a $1. Christmas ideas me thinks! ;)

Find the details here =>I Love My Life $1 Sale.
You have to contact Kristie directly to get this ROCKIN’ deal.

Do You Take Breaks as Often as You Should?

As a work at home mom, whose business is online and requires huge amounts of “on my butt staring at my computer monitor” time, I frequently get neck, back and wrist pains, as well as eyestrain. None of which are good for me or my business.

I was visiting a friends blog and she had posted this excercise routine for those of us who spend the majority of our work time at the computer. It’s so quick and easy, even I can do it! LOL

Another Book to Add to My Wish List!

Two posts in one day. Wow, something weird is going on here isn’t it? I’ve been absent from my blog for a few days and today I got 2, count them 2 chances to post today!

This post will be real short, cause it’s late and I’m sleepy!! The boys (all 3 of them) are snoozing away and I had some work to finish up tonight. As I was closing all the windows I had opened throughout the day, I found the one that had the pdf of Dr. Phil’s wife, Robin’s book excerpt in it that I heard about on today’s show. I went to the site, found the excerpt, opened it, read 2 pages and then had to get up and take care of the hubster and babies. I finished up some work and finally had time to finish it. I read the first chapter and WOW!! I want, I want, I want!

My book wish list is growing every single day. I hear of books that I really, really would like to get and I think my list is probably up to about 100 books already. I just started it a few weeks ago too! ;)

Check out the excerpt and let me know what you think. Is it a book you would buy? If you’ve already got it, is the rest of the book as inspiring as the first chapter?
