Tishia Lee You’re Such a Sweetie!

Lookie, Lookie Everybody I’ve been awarded the Nice Matters award by Tishia. Thank you so much!

In case you’re wondering what the Nice Award is here you go:

“This award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world. Once you’ve been awarded please pass it on to 7 others who you feel are deserving of this award.”

Wow, now I have to give the same award to 7 others, and trust me you must be nice in order to make it on my nice list! ;) Just kidding, this won’t be easy because so many of you have already received the award I’m sure.

Nicole Dean - Nik and I are so close it’s almost scary! Don’t believe me, just ask her?

Amanda Compton - Such a sweetheart this girl is, even when she’s arguing with her hubby and tells us about it she’s nice!

Aurelia Williams - Aurelia is nice, even when she shouldn’t be! :)

Jen - I don’t think there is a mean bone in this girl’s body ya’ll!

Alice Seba - They don’t call her the Internet Marketing Sweetie for nothin’.

Mila Sidman - Nice with attitude! ;) Just kidding, Mila is a doll all around.

Lynn Terry - Even though I don’t know Lynn very well, she’s got to be nice if she stopped by my little ole WAHM blog! :)

Balancing Life & Online Business Tips

Balancing Home & Online Business Internet Marketing Sweetie Meme

Alice Seba of Internet Marketing Sweetie has tagged me to share my “Top 5 Balancing Home & Online Business Tips” I’m not sure I’m the best person to be doing this as I have a really hard time balancing the two, but here are my tips for what they are worth. Who knows, maybe I’ll take some of my own advice! ;-)

Here Are My Top 5 Tips

Tip #1: Plan for your plan to go wrong sometimes!
No matter how well I plan things, it never seems to go exactly as I had hoped. Whether it’s my sitter falls through for the day, mother nature thinks I shouldn’t be working and decides to throw a thunderstorm my way (this has happened A LOT lately thanks to these extremely hot days here), or I wake up to a phone call that I need to run important errands for hubby because I completely let them slip my mind, it’s usually something that takes my well planned out day and throws it right down the drain.

Tip #2: Organization, Organization, Organization
This is one thing I KNOW needs to be done, but I’m such a procrastinator when it comes to organizing so that I am more functional and don’t spend unnecessary time looking for things that if I had just put them back where they belonged I wouldn’t have wasted that time.

Tip #3: Scheduling
There are only so many hours in a day, right? So, why do I seem to think I can add more?

Tip #4: Set aside time, even if on a whim to spend a day without the computer, but just enjoying hubby and the boys.

Tip #5: And, on those days that it all just seems too much…steal away in the bedroom, bathroom, or anywhere else I can find, to have a good cry and a good prayer! Sometimes, it can get overwhelming and I know all of you wahms reading this know what I mean when I say, sometimes we just need a good CRY! So go for it…get it all out and then if you’re the praying kind, leave it all in God’s hands and watch what happens!

And now, I’m tagging the following 4 people to join in on the fun and help other online business owners (including myself) with their tips for balancing home and business:

Tagee #1 Nell Taliercio of Casual Friday Everyday

Tagee #2 Jen Houck of One Mom’s World

Tagee #3 Nicole Dean of Nicole on the Net

Tagee #4 Mila Sidman

If you’ve been tagged, simply copy and paste the text below and fill in the blanks with your home and online business balancing tips…I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s tried and true tricks of the trade! :)

Phase 2: Just Mommy to Sassy Mama

Hot Mama Makeover

Ok, so by now you’ve seen my new and very different than the norm for me hair cut. Well I’ve decided that I’m not stopping there!

In case you couldn’t tell I need a desperate lift and no I don’t mean boobs! That picture of my new do was definitely an eye opener that this mama needs to put the sass back in her A–! And it all started with the haircut, but it won’t end there. I’m sure I’ll think of more, but here’s the plan for now!

Phase 1: New Do - CHECK
Phase 2: Ditching Those Hideous Brows for some sleek and sexier ones.
Phase 5: Manicure & Maybe a Pedi too!
Phase 4: New Makeup (this is something I desperately need, but more importantly, I need to start wearing!)

And I’m sure I’ll think of some other things along the way, but I’m on a mission to ditch the I’m an exhausted, work at home mommy look and feel good about the way I look again.

Stay tuned…

And I have to give credit to the Hot Mama Makeover for giving me the much needed push to do just that. Of course I picked the guide up many months ago, but it’s time I put some of the things inside to action! How about you? Ready to become the SASSY MAMA we all know you are?

A Day In A WAHM Life

I was browsing over at one of my favorite Internet marketing blogs, and Lynn Terry did a day in the life of a full time wahm post that included a video of how her day starts. If you know Lynn, you know she’s a lot of fun and it shows in this post where we get to hear her singing and she sound pretty good too. Oh if only I were that brave, but I love my readers and wouldn’t want to scare anyone off. ;)

I love this and am actually considering doing one myself as soon as I figure out how to get the video on here. LOL You’d think as much as I do online, I’d know how already right? Nah…I can’t know everything and I don’t pretend to, but I do love learning and as soon as I find the time to, I am definitely going to get the whole video thing going here.

So, stay tuned for a day (or few minutes anyway) in this wacky wahm life. Ooh I think I just thought of another possible name for the new blog. :) I can only imagine what searches might bring it up once it’s in the Google World! LMBO

Creative Isn’t Even In My Vocabulary

I’m sitting here trying to figure out how to get some CamStudio videos to convert so that I can load them to one of my sites and it’s taking forever (this is like the 100th time I’ve tried this btw) so I was brainstorming some more about new names for my home on the net.

Just a few days ago, I asked for suggestions to help me pick a new blog name. Well I didn’t get much help as the few comments I did receive (Thanks Nell & Tishia) were pretty much in the same boat I was. So, over the last few days I’ve been thinking of names and here’s what I have so far:

1. Just Call Me WAHM
2. They Call Me Wahmmy (this is my favorite I think)
3. Not So Ordinary Wahm
4. Crazy Wahm (Hubby votes for this one I’m sure) ;)

See, I told you I wasn’t creative. Anyway, I’m hoping that someone will get some inspiration from these names and maybe come up with one I really like, so let me have it everyone. :)

Before & After

Ok, so I FINALLY did it. Got my hair all wacked off! I haven’t even had a trim in almost 2 years so I was well overdue! Didn’t get the highlights/coloring that I wanted today, but here’s the new do! Pay no attention to the fact that I have absolutely no makeup on please! LOL
I’m telling you that was ALOT of hair on that floor when Zina was done! :) If you look to your right you’ll see what my hair was like before! It was actually longer than in that picture. When I went in today my hair was down to the middle of my back.

I love my hairdresser…for the first time in my life I can say that. Usually when I go in for a cut (which is why I don’t go nearly enough) I end up with a huge mess on my head, especially if it’s more than just a trim! Not this time!!

I’m so psyched even with it in these pictures, where it was all messed up from the wind and extremely hot sun before I got home to take them! :)

Just Call Us eBayer’s Now

Files under Tasty Tuesday | 1 Comment »

Well hubby and I finally did it! We listed our first auction on eBay and I have to say it was a bit time consuming and I really didn’t have the time to actually get all technical about it and really write outstanding copy for the auction, but we’ll see how it goes!

WISH US LUCK! :) I’m thinking this could get addicting…lol! Nah, I like my VA business too much to make eBay a full time gig, but I do have ALOT of stuff I need to get rid of around here. ;)
