What the Heck Do I Email Them About?

I just recently started using an email list and I’ll tell you it’s not always easy coming up with things to email my subscribers about.  That’s why I was so glad to see Alice Seba giving away this:

24 Ideas for Endless Email Topics (I highly recommend you check this out if you’re having trouble with what to talk to your subs about too.)

One problem I have, in case you haven’t noticed here, is that I tend to be wordy, especially in my emails and although sometimes I need to be to explain things to my target market, most of the time it isn’t necessary and will actually bore my readers before I get my point across. After reading these 24 email topics I realized I don’t have to put it all in one email - I can break things up a bit.  And, that’s not all I got ideas for either. ;)

So, if you’re on my list - look out! I’ve got some good info coming your way soon.  If you aren’t on my list you can sign up for it by filling in your name and email address on the right.  —>>>
You’ll receive an awesome report that gives you ideas for spending more time with the family…for FREE when you sign up too.

Sell to Your List with Confidence Not Pushiness: Friday Free for All

After being on hiatus for a bit Friday Free for All is back!  If you know a bit about working as an online business owner, then you know that your email marketing list is the lifeblood of your business.  If you have trouble selling to your list, or like me you, you just aren’t the salesman type, you’ll want to grab this.

Lynette Chandler interviewed Alice Seba recently regarding the topic of confidently selling to your list.  As a follower of Alice’s for awhile now, I’ve got a pretty good idea of where she makes the most money in her Internet marketing business.  Yep, you guessed it - her email lists.  Alice has a knack for selling without coming across as a pushy salesman…if that makes sense! She’s not sneaky, she’s very informative and knows how to get her list to respond to her offers :)  I’ve actually learned quite a lot from the Internet Marketing Sweetie just from watching her emails come to my inbox.

So, for our back in the game Friday Free for All, I want to let you know that you don’t have to be pushy in order to get your subscribers to buy from you.  And, now you can find out how it’s done with this free email marketing audio (and transcript for those who can’t listen or who, like myself, may have young children that keep you from listening without one ear out for them all the time).

Click here for access to the audio and printable transcripts.  You’ll be asked to supply your name and email in exchange for this freebie and by doing so you’ll be notified when Alice starts her email coaching program a few weeks from now.  That’s not too much to ask in order to receive this great information that could potentially give you the boost you need to get those sales up now is it?

Want More Traffic to Your Blog? Friday Free for All

Thanks to Nicole Dean of Web Traffic Basics for putting together a great guide on one of the ways to boost traffic to your blog.

This quick to read and easy to follow guide (it’s only 4 pages long) details the steps to take to host your very own blog contest.  It might take you 5 minutes to read, which is a huge plus if you’re busy…and what mom isn’t right? ;)

I personally can vouch that holding a contest on your blog is a great way to draw attention and increase visitors. When I held my Guess the Wahmmy’s Baby Gender Contest late last year, I saw a surge in traffic to the blog and have even kept many of those visitors on board since.

So, if you’re lacking on traffic or just want to give an attention boost to your blog, why not host a contest? Here’s a handy little pdf file that will give you lots of information on doing just that. Click the link to open in your browser or right click and save to your computer to print out and read later! :)

Ten Business Ideas for Kids - Friday Free for All

This week’s freebie was brought to my attention by Treece, mother of 2 teen girls who have created a huge business selling pre-wrap. Thanks Treece (and thanks for the tip on my ring today too!)

For those who don’t know what pre-wrap is here’s one explanation that Treece gives on her Kids-In-Biz blog:

Pre-wrap is a velvety soft foam that comes in rolls like tape. It’s really an athletic pre-taping product used to wrap over an injury before tape is applied, but many female athletes have found it makes the perfect headband! It’s clingy and doesn’t slip off your head like regular headbands.

I must say that watching Treece and the success of her girls has me really itching to pull the entrepreneur out of my boys someday. I’ve tried (albeit not too hard) with Zach once before but I don’t think I found the right motivation for him and besides he’s only 10 and right now video games and playing with his buddies is more important to him and I’m ok with that. We still have plenty of time! ;)

Anyway, I’m looking for ideas to help get him at least thinking in the direction of what he might like to do when he grows up. Don’t get me wrong he wants to do things that absolutely amaze me sometimes (for instance be a archaeologist), but I think he would really enjoy running his own business because of comments he’s made to me in the past and more importantly his strong desire to do things out of the ordinary. So, when I came upon the post from Treece with a link to this guide, I thought I’d check it out and wanted to pass it on to those of you who have kids that might be interested in starting their own business.
