TMT: Smiling is Her Favorite Past Time

Today marks babygirl’s 3 month birthday! My how time flies the more kids you have.

In yesterday’s WW post, All Smiles, she was doing just that, smiling to her heart’s content. Other than sleeping, smiling has quickly become her favorite thing to do. She especially gets a kick out of her daddy giving her Eskimo kisses and anyone saying “DaDa” to her. She’s got him wrapped already I tell ya…This girl is GOOD! :)

Tell Me Thursday: As If You Couldn’t Guess

In case you missed the picture yesterday you can see it here: Words Just Can’t Express How Happy We Are!

Yes, that’s our beautiful baby girl Sierra MaeAnn! :) She made her appearance on April 10th at 2:42pm, weighing in at teeny tiny 6lbs 6oz and 18 inches.

She made her way into all our hearts within a matter of milliseconds and is spoiled to the hilt already. Honestly I think she was spoiled before she ever saw the light of day, but that’s ok with us and her too. ;)

She’s doing great and so am I. I also am happy to report that breastfeeding is going WONDERFULLY and I’m thanking God and friends like Carrie Lauth who helped me prepare better this time around. I’ll be back at a later day to fill you in with my birth story (I’m not real sure why I was even there because she pretty much delivered herself) and keep you updated with tons of pictures of our new Princess.

In the meantime head over to the Tell Me Thursday site and check out some other posts from bloggers who participate in the fun behind the pictures.

Tell Me Thursday: He’s On His Second Desk

Yesterday’s Wordless Wednesday picture was taken a little over a year ago when Hunter got his first desk.  He’s now on #2 (complete with a light and easel).

His desk sits in the office with mine and every now and again he’ll put his laptop on it and pretend to be working just like mama.  It’s too cute I tell ya.  I’ll have to snap a picture of him the next time he does it to share with everyone.

So, have you participated in Tell Me Thursday yet?  If so, leave me a comment with a link to your most recent TMT post and I’ll go check it out.  And, don’t forget to visit the Tell Me Thursday website and add your link there as well so other’s can find it.  Click here to do so.

Tell Me Thursday: Closer to Official

This week’s Tell Me Thursday is about yesterday’s Wordless Wednesday picture, that you can see here if you haven’t already.

First let me start by saying that my camera and that picture just don’t do the ring justice…not even close! :-)

If there’s one thing I love it’s a surprise and another thing I love is that Jerry can’t ever keep a secret and give me gifts on the day they are intended for. It’s nice to know that he doesn’t trust himself! HA HA

Whether it’s Christmas or something else, I always get gifts early and this Valentine’s Day was no exception! The ring was my valentine this year and I got it on Tuesday evening. After a weekend and Monday and Tuesday of ups and downs (keep reading and you’ll see part of what I mean), it was definitely a rough couple of days and my man knows how to make it all better. And no, I don’t mean just because he gave me the ring…but it sure didn’t hurt! ;-)

It all started Saturday when we went to look at trucks for him. He’s only been wanting a truck since we got together 4 years ago and for whatever reason we just haven’t been able to swing it. As a matter of fact, he’s always getting me things that keep putting his dream of a truck on hold - my van for Valentine’s Day last year just for one example. Well this year I was bound and determined to get him his truck. So, Saturday we spent ALL day looking and we found a truck but the payments were a bit higher than we had originally planned for. After knowing how much he deserved it I just couldn’t let him go home empty handed so I arranged for a way to make up the difference and told him I would make his payments. Happy Valentine’s Day to him!

After we got home, he was having a bit (ok, a lot) of buyer’s remorse. Of course I had no idea why it was so bad at the time and I kept reassuring him that he needed to just enjoy his new toy and let me handle things. I assumed he was just being his normal worry wart self, but when it carried over to Monday I was getting concerned a bit, but still determined he was going to enjoy his truck because doggone it he DESERVED it.

Well onto Tuesday where something that should have taken an hour to do took the entire day. He was starting to calm down or at least not show his worry as much. I had picked up the boys Valentine’s gifts earlier Tuesday along with a card and a few other tiny things for Jerry. When I got home I put the boys gifts together and while sitting on the couch I asked him if he wanted his gift early (yeah he rubs off every now and again). He said sure and so I headed to the bedroom and started to put it together real quick. He followed me in there and I told him I wasn’t finished and he said he’d wait, but wouldn’t leave the room. As I was putting the bag together he walked up behind me and said “Will you marry me?”

Now, he’s asked me this before, but more in a “someday” sort of way. Normally I probably would have just said something along the lines of “Yep you know I will.” but for some reason I turned around to see him holding a red box with this gorgeous ring in it. I squealed like a little girl and immediately said “YES” and began bawling like a baby!

I later found out that he had planned to be more romantic about it, but was so nervous he just blurted it out without realizing it. But you know what I don’t care what he had planned…the way he did it was just perfect to me!

So, to make this extremely long blog post come to an end…after 4 years Jerry and I are getting hitched! Yeah I know many of you probably already thought we were didn’t you? ;)

Tell Me Thursday: Who Did You Think It Was?

Yesterday’s Wordless Wednesday had some of my readers asking who THIS baby was…LOL I kinda figured it would, what with all the babies around here lately! ;)

This is my newest niece. My oldest younger brother Dustin’s second daughter! That’s a mouthful now isn’t it?

Tell Me Thursday: Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

It’s time for this week’s Tell Me Thursday so here goes!

We’ve been hoping for snow all winter and this past weekend we finally got it! The pictures from yesterday’s Wordless Wednesday were from our fun in the snow on Sunday.

Although they don’t do the beauty of the snow justice because I was the last one out and by the time my camera and I made it out the boys and dad had already devoured the front yard of most of the snow, they do show just how excited the boys were to finally get to play in the snow. Our side yard was absolutely gorgeous and luckily I was able to get some video of that later in the day as the boys ran around having a ball.

Hunterman loved the snow and cried when it was time to come in and waited at the window until it was time for our next venture out later. We ended up going out about 3 times due to the fact that we couldn’t stay out too long because the wind was blowing like crazy.

Zach had a ball trying to get hubbs with a snowball…needless to say there was a lot of chasing around the house and slipping and sliding through it all. Even Sierra got a few snowballs thrown her way. ;-)

The second picture is Hunter’s first snowman. Zach had been on the back deck attempting to build a snowman for Hunter, but the snow was just too powdery to stick and when we came around the house Hunter saw him and wanted to build one of his own so there is Hunter’s NOman in all it’s glory!

By the way…if you participate, head on over to the Tell Me Thursday site and learn how you can have fun with this too! :)

The Story Behind the Bucket Head Soldier

Today is the first day of Tell Me Thursday here at They Call Me Wahmmy. Tell Me Thursday was started by two moms who love all the pictures that appear on blogs for Wordless Wednesday, but really want to know the stories behind them. To participate and learn how it all works head over to TellMeThursday.com and check it out.

So, for our first Tell Me Thursday here’s the story behind yesterday’s picture. If you missed it, you can see it here.

It’s my two year old playing with his army men earlier this week. On Monday I had a horrible toothache that basically left me on the couch with tylenol and an ice pack most of the day. Hunter did so good playing quietly that day. He and I watched a few movies and cuddled on the couch a lot of the day.

He has a bucket full of army men and he decided to dump them in the middle of the floor and play. At first, I thought “Oh no, not the bucket of army men for me to have to clean up.” That thought completely disappeared when he put the bucket on his head. It was just too cute and I had to get up and snap a few pictures with my camera. He happily obliged and even wanted to be sure I got one of his fellow soldiers in the picture. Even with a horrendous toothache my little man made me smile. :-) Kids are a miracle I tell you, because just those few seconds of relief from my toothache were so welcomed and the hugs that followed were priceless no matter how much pain I was in.
