Well, I’ve officially done it! I’ve made it 3 days in a row doing a workout. Don’t think I’ve done that since I played volleyball in High School.
Gotta love those 2-a-days.
Today was a rather fun cardio workout. Again only 2 different exercises:
=> Jumping Jacks
=> Quick Steps
I made it through all 5 reps of both and did each exercise for the full time every single rep! I was huffin’ & puffin’ through it all that’s for sure and at one point I felt like I might throw up. Guess I shouldn’t have eaten that cherry pie filling before I did the workout, hu? Oops!
Scott, if you’re reading this – don’t say a word mister because I’ll tell Mom.
Don’t worry if you don’t already know, I’ll fill you in on the “Mom” comment in just one second. I promise it’s not an inside joke. Well I guess in a way it is, but I’ll let you in on it too.
Back to today’s cardio workout.
While I was doing it I had my Big Boy (3) and BabyGirl (1) right here with me. They both were loving being able to exercise with mommy, let me tell ya. Big Boy was doing the jumping jacks with me and both were doing the quick steps (or attempting to anyway).
Quick Steps & a 1 Year Old is Pretty Darn Cute!
When you’re a 1 year old and have only been walking for a little over a month, it gets pretty comical when you’re trying to mock mommy and big brother. So comical in fact I almost grabbed the camera and started recording the video to share. I was pretty into the groove and by the time I got to the marching in place rest phase they had both stopped. Hopefully I can catch them “in the act” again and get it on video to share because it’s absolutely adorable.
Now, onto the somewhat inside joke I’m letting you in on! :0)
For those who don’t know, Nicole Dean is also doing the Fat Loss Quickie Home Office Workouts. She’s actually kind of running her own challenge along side it, known as her Computer Butt Challenge. Right now about 20 of us, including Nicole’s mom of Remarkable Wrinklies (I just love that site name) who got on Scott for using 2 folding chairs in one of the toning exercises, have jumped on board. Most are doing the Fat Loss Quickie program but it’s not required to join in.
Even if you’re not doing the Fat Loss Quickie – Do SOMETHING!
The whole point of Nicole’s challenge is to get up and get moving more than you were before. You can do that in many ways not just with this workout.

* Walk the dog
* Jog
* Ride a bike
* Go swimming
* Play ball or tag with the kids
* Dance around the house
Anything as long as you’re up and moving to avoid getting computer butt or gut!
Head on over and check out Nik’s Computer Butt Challenge updates as well. Don’t forget to read the comments on her posts so far – that’s where the real fun is.
Like I told “Mom” (we’ve all so loving adopted her as the FLQ mama I think) without humor what have ya got? I crack up daily reading the comments over there.
If you haven’t yet joined me on this journey, I really wish you would consider it.
It’s so much fun and so worth it. Remember, when I said before I wasn’t in it to lose weight. Two of the things I’m after, other than overall better health, is productivity and energy and I can honestly say even after only 3 days of the cardio portion of the workout, I’ve accomplished so much more than I normally do in a day.
If you’ve been thinking about joining, now is as good a time as any! Just click on the image below to learn more about it.
Where’d Mr. Linky Go?
For those who are following along and are interested in adding the links to their journey to the Mr. Linky I created, there’s going to be a change to how that works because of a snafu I wasn’t aware of until I posted the Day 2 Mr. Linky. I’ll get it all set up and be back tomorrow with instructions. Remember, it’s easier to do this when you have others doing it too!
Have a great day everyone!

Hope your day was better today Lisa!
A little progress is still progress so even if you can only do one of the videos or walk or anything…you’ll be off to a good start.

Okay you guys… Mom’s here so you better start watching that sassy talk! Ha! You crack me up, too!
Yeah, Arika, I got out my screechy voice and yelled at Scott for climbing on those folding chairs. That is a fact. Next time you talk to Nicole in person she’ll be able to impersonate it for you… the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, as they say.
But, I have a confession to make… I waited all day today to do my exercises.
I guess I forgot the whole concept, hello? But, as Scarlett said, Tomorrow is another day. oh boy…
As they say in the south, bless all ya’lls heart!

Oops guess I just got myself in trouble for threatening Scott didn’t I? Oops…I’ll take a day of no computer for punishment! LOL
I’ll be sure to ask Nik next time I talk to her to do the impersonation for me…this oughta be good!
Hey it’s 10:30 pm here and I still haven’t gotten to Day 4 so at least you did yours. I have a feeling I’m going to be doing 2 days in one again tomorrow.
And…bless your heart!
Yeah us northern transplants still get to use the lines too!
