Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to take a minute to wish all my fellow wahmmies and wonderful readers a very safe and happy turkey day!

We’re hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year and for the first time I’m not cooking everything! Yayy! You just have no idea how much my stress level is down compared to year’s past.

Heck, I’m typing this post on Wednesday night and I still have a kitchen and living room to clean but am I stressing? No Ma’am! Instead I’m working a bit while everyone else is asleep, chatting with my buddy Nicole, and typing up this post.

I honestly have so many things to be thankful for this year! I have been blessed with the best family, friends, and colleagues any one person could ask for and for that I thank the good Lord above. Without him I never would have met any of them. As he continues to bless me each and every single day I am reminded just how loved and honored I am. I can only hope that I am as big a blessing to each of these people as they are to me.

Before I go, I want to give you the recipe for my very favorite Thanksgiving (and Christmas) dessert. I make this every year, it’s beyond simple, and the kids and adults alike gobble it up! This recipe is so easy the kids can even make it! :)

Cherries in the Snow

What you’ll need:

  • 1 large can of cherry pie filling
  • 1 tub of Cool Whip
  • Small white marshmallows
  • Pecans or other nut of your choice (optional)
  • Now comes the easy part!

Open it all up, throw it in a bowl and mix it all together until you have the amount of marshmallows and nuts you want. Cover and throw it in the fridge until it’s ready to serve!

See told you it was super easy! ;)

Ok, I’m off to clean up a bit around here and hit the sack early this year, but first I’ve got a favor to ask. Leave me a comment and let me know what you are most thankful for this year and why. Can’t wait to see your response.
