Just sent the following plea for help from my customers and thought you’d get a kick out of reading it too! Keep in mind this is the condensed version of my day. I promise I really do love being a Mama.
******************
Hey there!
Arika here and I’ll forewarn you this is a long email, but if
nothing else you’ll get a laugh or two or three from it.
Ok, seriously this has been a horrible day in the Lewis household.
First, I was in a panic when I woke up to find out my oldest had
a 2 hour delay due to snow we were “supposed” to be getting. That
delay turned into a full day closing.
That wasn’t a problem except my youngest had a doctor’s appointment
this morning that I now had to take all 3 kids to. Wouldn’t have
been bad at all had we been able to see the doctor on the well side
of the building but nope I was wrong and we promptly got shuffled
to the sick side and they were PACKED!
Did I mention when we left the house it was sleeting? Yayy Yayy.
All turned out ok, thank goodness, but we get home after stopping
at the post office and I thought I’d lost my cell phone only to
find it in my pocket. Yeah I’m a bit crazy like that when I get
stressed because my 3 yo was refusing to keep his seat belt on.
As I pulled in the driveway I realized I didn’t stop at the
pharmacy to fill the prescription the doctor gave me for the little
one. Good side was we weren’t out of the van yet.
So, back to town we go, fill the prescription and home again. Made
lunch, started a movie for the kids and all was well. So, it was
time to get in a little work. Sent 2 of the kiddos to play with
PlayDoh and the youngest was all settled.
That lasted all of about 10 minutes then the fighting and fussing
ensued. All the while I’m frantically trying to get a few article
packs up on a client’s website.
Just as I was about to hit the save button to add the last pack to
her shopping cart – yep, you guessed it…the site’s server went
Kapoot!
All is well in the shopping cart/client world now and my kids
seem to have realized “Mom has had enough!” because they ran off
to their bedroom to play. (Actually I think they are just plotting
the next attack on me) Yep, as I type this the little one is
crying…AGAIN!
Ahhh did I mention I really DO love being a mom?
Oh and we never did get any snow out of the deal!
Anyway, head over and give me a reason to smile and let me know
all that hard work and frustration today was worth it by picking
up some of the new (or old) PLR at Nicole’s site…pretty please
with sugar on top!
Off to bring peace to the Lewis household! (or run from it maybe -
I haven’t decided yet!)
Have a great day!
Arika

Awe. I’m sorry to hear you had a rough day. I hope it gets better for you soon…and it will! I had those rough days too when my kids were little, and now that they are big, those days are fewer, but they still happen, just a little different. Cherish them even still, time goes by so fast and your little ones days will soon be gone and you will look back to the frantic days of being a mother to youngsters and wish they were here again…okay maybe that’s stretching it a bit…lol…but I promise things will get better!

Thanks Mary! It was a rough day for sure, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. God is good and sees me through even my roughest days which I wouldn’t trade for the world, because I know they won’t last long. Like you said, the time will come (all too soon) that I’ll be wishing for crazy, hectic days like these.

Ah, sounds like a typical day in my household.
Your kids sound pretty lucky to have a mom like you who has a good attitude about it all. I sometimes think that I can’t wait for my little bums to get a bit older but I have to keep reminding myself that it will all end too soon and I need to treasure each moment as it comes, even the chaotic ones.

Hey Arika, me again…lol. I just wanted to let you know I tagged you for a fun meme. It’s all about Lessons in Motherhood and thought you might like to share some of your awesome wisdom! All you have to do is post about it on your blog, tag 7 others and link to the original post on Mom’s Talk Network (http://www.momstalknetwork.com/resources/motherhood-lessons-1/). I hope you have fun doing this and I look forward to reading what you have to say on the subject!
