So, it’s been an exciting weekend around these here parts!
I went and cut over half of my hair off and even though hubbs still loves me, he’s not glad to see the hair go like I am.
WOW! Let me just tell you, it’s a HUGE relief not having all that hair to deal with. A few of the cool (or not so cool because honestly you probably could care less to read about my new haircut! lol) reasons this new ‘do leaves me relieved and smiling:
1. I physically and mentally feel so much better (kind of amazed myself at how much of an impact a hair cut has on me actually).
2. It didn’t turn out a huge mess like other short cuts I’ve had in the past have.
3. My 16 year old neighbor did it! How cool is that? Even her dad couldn’t believe she did such a good job.
4. Hubby finally told me today that he will like it if I promise not to go any shorter! I actually wanted to go shorter in the back but was too chicken.
5. It will only take me about 10 minutes to straighten now versus the 30 it took before.
6. I can’t take the easy way out and throw it up in a ponytail anymore because there isn’t enough there for a ponytail.
7. My kids still recognize (& love) me! ;0)
8. I’ve received good feedback from everyone so far that’s seen it. Even one of my best friends who did everything in her power to keep me from cutting it likes it. Heck, if hubby can say he likes it then you know it’s gotta be decent.
9. It actually helps to draw out the good qualities of my face instead of the bad! Always a plus, right?
So, if you’re wondering just what is making me feel all “YAYY! Me-ish” inside and out, here ya go. Pay no attention to the fact that I have no makeup on. And check out how happy little man is to be able to take a picture with mama!
